Adam's Peak, known for the night pilgrimage climb to the summit, is 6.5 to 7.5 hours from Minneriya National Park by car. Many travellers break the drive in Kandy.
The last part of the drive climbs into the hills towards Adam's Peak, which is slow and winding, so allow extra time in rain or mist.
This is a long day in the car. Leave early and take breaks every two hours or so.
